Dr. James R. “Jim” Leininger is a physician, entrepreneur, and innovator whose founding of KCI and development of groundbreaking wound care technologies transformed patient care worldwide. His leadership helped establish San Antonio as a center for medical innovation while driving significant growth in the region’s life sciences sector.

Dr. Robert “Bob” Clark is a pioneering biomedical researcher whose discoveries in immunology and inflammation have advanced treatments for complex diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. Through decades of leadership, research, and mentorship, he has strengthened San Antonio’s biomedical ecosystem while improving patient care and inspiring future researchers.

Dr. Donald H. Jenkins is a nationally recognized trauma surgeon whose innovations have transformed emergency care. A retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and leader at UT Health San Antonio, he pioneered the “San Antonio Model” for whole blood delivery, improving trauma survival rates and establishing new standards for rapid care across military and civilian medicine.
